On 16th of June 2010, the Bureau CNRS Brésil - CNRS Brasil - has been officially inaugurated,
with the presence of :
the Director general for science of CNRS, Joël Bertrand, the Ambassador of France in Brazil, Yves Saint-Geours, the Vice-President of CNPq, Wrana Panizzi,
representatives of various scientific Institutions from Brazil (Brazilian Academies of Science and of Medicine, FioCruz, CBPF, IMPA, Universities UFRJ, PUC-Rio, UERJ, USP, UNICAMP, UESC...) and from France (CNRS, IRD, Service Central d'Analyse...),
representatives of various support Institutions for research (Secretary of Science and Technology of the State of Rio de Janeiro, FAPERJ, FIRJAN, SEBRAE, PRODERJ, ABDE...),
representatives of various brazilian and french Companies (Natura, bioMérieux, PSA...),
and various brazilian and french researchers leading multiple ongoing cooperation projects.
